What we collect

Rebate finder inputs: ZIP code, household income, household size, and homeowner/renter status. These go to the Rewiring America Incentive API to compute your rebate stack. They are not stored on our servers unless you explicitly submit the installer-quote form.

Installer quote requests: Your name, email, phone number, and project details (equipment type, timeline, best time to call). Submitted via the lead form on the heat pump calculator page. Stored in our DynamoDB lead table and routed to vetted local HVAC installers who cover your ZIP.

Exit-intent email signups: Your email + state if you submit the "alert me when programs change" form. Stored in our lead table; used only for program-update emails.

Atlas concierge chat: The text you type in the chat, plus the qualifying answers (state / income band / equipment / timeline). Sent to Anthropic via Amazon Bedrock for inference. Not stored on our servers beyond the active browser session.

Browser storage: localStorage and sessionStorage flags tracking whether you've dismissed the exit-intent modal and whether the Atlas concierge peek bubble has greeted you. No personal data in these flags.

Server logs: Standard web server logs (IP address, user agent, request path) retained for 30 days for debugging + abuse detection.

How we use the data

Run rebate lookups. Your ZIP + income + household size go to the Rewiring America API. Nothing else is done with them unless you submit the installer form.

Route installer leads. When you click "Get 3 installer quotes," we send your contact info to three vetted local HVAC installers with coverage in your ZIP. They contact you directly to schedule an assessment.

Send program-change alerts. If you opted into the exit-intent email list, we email you when a HEEHRA state portal opens, a utility launches a new rebate, or federal policy changes affect your state. One-click unsubscribe in every email.

Power the Atlas concierge. Your chat text goes to Anthropic via Bedrock for inference, constrained by our curated knowledge base. See the AI transparency page for the full policy.

Improve the site. Aggregate traffic patterns (popular state pages, common dropout points in the rebate form) inform content and UX decisions. No individual user data is reviewed for this.

Who we share with

HVAC installers you request quotes from: Your contact info + project details, only to the specific installers you request. We do not share your data with installers who did not quote your job.

Amazon Web Services: Our infrastructure runs on AWS (Lambda, DynamoDB, S3, SES, Bedrock). AWS processes your data as a data processor under our instructions. AWS does not have access to your data for their own purposes.

Anthropic (via Bedrock): Atlas concierge chat messages. Per Bedrock API terms, Anthropic does not train models on Bedrock inference traffic.

Rewiring America: Your ZIP + income + household size are sent as API parameters for rebate lookup. Rewiring America does not receive your name, email, or phone.

Cloudflare: Our CDN/DNS provider. Cloudflare sees your IP address and request path as a standard part of serving the site. Cloudflare does not receive form submissions.

No one else. No data brokers. No ad networks. No retargeting platforms. No affiliate marketing partners.

Your rights

Access: Email [email protected] to request a copy of data we hold about you. 30-day response per CCPA + GDPR.

Deletion: Email the same address to request deletion. We delete lead records and exit-intent list entries on request. Server log retention remains the standard 30 days.

Opt out of installer routing: If you've submitted the installer form and want to stop installer outreach, email [email protected] with the ZIP + email used. We notify the installers who received your lead to cease contact.

Email unsubscribe: One-click unsubscribe in every program-alert email we send.

California residents: CCPA "Do Not Sell My Personal Information" — we do not sell personal information, so this request is always honored by default. You may still submit a formal "Do Not Sell" request if desired.

Children

ElectrifyAtlas is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe we have collected data from a child, email [email protected] and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

When we make material changes to this privacy policy, we update the datestamp at the top of the page and email everyone on the program-alert list with a summary. Minor wording fixes are applied without notification.
